After 44 years of working with Aramark, the Las Vegas Convention Center decided to explore their options to ensure they were getting the best terms and proving the best customer experience. LVCC sought out a premier consulting firm to assist with Food/Beverage, Laundry and Solid Waste Systems Facilities Planning and Design. Through a thorough selection process, LVCC selected YoungCaruso based on a proven track record of successfully working with other convention centers, stadiums and public assemblies providing Planning, Design, and Management Advisory Services. LVCC teamed up with YoungCaruso to develop an RFP process that would ensure that LVCC partnered with an operator that could bring the best deal to the table and provide a premium customer experience. Centerplate was awarded a 7.5 year contract. “We were very happy with the term of the deal and found YoungCaruso to be a knowledgeable and collaborative partner throughout the process” Hugh Sinnock LVCC’s then Vice President of Customer Experience.
YoungCaruso, Centerplate and the LVCC developed a biquarterly audit to ensure food and service standards were met. Audits conducted from 2018 and 2019 showed improvement in Show Manager’s satisfaction as well as a reduction in sales being refunded due to various reasons (wrong order, late delivery and so on) from 4-5 percent down to less than 1 percent. “These audit reports were more comprehensive than anything we had seen from our in-house efforts in the past” Hugh Sinnock LVCC’s then Vice President of Customer Experience. Additionally, YoungCaruso served as the owners’ rep to ensure Centerplate’s and LVCC’s objectives were met during the expansion phase.
